I will have to get a different frame. I have tried replacing the memory card, leaving the unit off for a few hours, and changing the location of frame and the a/c. No luck. Very disappointing. I expected better from HP. It has not moved from my desktop. I have owned this frame for 4 months. For the last two weeks, the screen has begun to sporadically lighten and darken.
This unit was taken out of the box, a chip put in and set on a table untouched, so there is no mechanical reason why it should fail other than components used are sub par quality and fail in a very short time. Had the unit for five months and it has failed. It didn't in this case. Don't waste your money like I did thinking the HP name meant something. These are not cheap and it is very disapointing for HP to put out such a low quality product. It does not serve the company well.
It is difficult to find any other picture frame in this - It displays normal 4*3 pictures in its widescreen display without distorting them.- Can be carried around the world as the power adapter is 110 to 240 Volts compatible.- music and video are as good as the picture quality- good remoteCons:- I would have liked it even better if it could be operated with batteries. Pros:- Good Resolution, good picture quality.
Because this device permits my mother-in-law to see all of the pictures the rest of the family has been taking, this is now her favorite electronic device.I got it from Amazon, and got fast delivery as usual. This product met all of my requirements, and for a reasonable cost. I have bought numerous items from Amazon and have never had a problem. I purchased one of these for my mother-in-law, someone that resists technology. I was searching for a digital picture frame that was easy to use, accepted a variety of storage devices, had good display resolution, and capable of displaying pictures and videos.
The pictures don't advance and zoom doesn't work. Don't buy this. The 5 second picture lasts for 20 seconds and then there is a black screen for the same amount of time inbetween photos.
I also had to call 3 other numbers and they eventually referred me back to the same department where I started. Not even worth one star. I am now stuck with an expensive usless product with no real technical support available by HP.
I bought 2 of these products as gifts and embarasingly, neither worked any where near properly. Worse of all HP's technical support kept me on the phone for an hour and fifteen minutes and no one could help me at all w/ this product. It will waste your time and money.
The remote doesn't work. It will not play the video avi files it says it will play.
